Youth: 3rd – 12th Grade
Library
The church library is located just off the Narthex (east side of the building). It offers a variety of books for children, teens, and adults. Our church librarian is Noreen Halvorson. Look for updated information on the library shortly.
Come and check out the conversations and activities that keep our youth engaged with this world, each other and God!
Confirmation classes are for grades 8-9 and meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. during the school year. An overview of the Bible, including the Old and New Testament is covered, as well as learning the Small Catechism, which entails The Ten Commandments, The Apostle’s Creed and The Lord’s Prayer. The material is taught by our pastors. Fellowship and Service Events are components of the program as well. Typically, youth publically confirm their faith in the fall of the 10th grade year at a special worship service.
The Youth Program at Bethlehem is led by our Youth Director, Lexy Steinle, who is in the office from 4:30-5:30 Wednesday nights. Or if you need to contact or meet with her at a different time, you can email her by clicking here.
There are many activities designed for each age group. These activities provide times for you to get together with your friends at church. Many activities have no costs and some activities are fund-raisers which give you a chance to earn money to pay for those activities that do have additional costs.
Halloween parties, youth retreats, lock-ins, and servant trips are just some of the opportunities our program offers. We have plenty of opportunities for fun and fellowship.
J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) is open for 3rd and 4th graders.
- J.A.M. meets once a month from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the youth room. We will have Bible study, play games and hang out with friends. Activities such as sledding, caroling, trampolines, and skating are scheduled throughout the year, so keep your eyes and ears open for other events!
W.N.A. (Wednesday Night Alive) is open for 5th through 7th graders.
- W.N.A. meets every week on Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00 p.m. during the school year. This year we are looking at the BIG stories of the Old Testament and how we can use these in our own lives through activities, discussion, videos and games. Other activities are scheduled throughout the year, such as retreats, lock-ins, and other active events.
God Squad is open to 8th through 12th graders.
- God Squad meets two times each month from 3:00-4:30 p.m. One meeting is dedicated to discussion to grow your own faith, and the other includes service opportunities to help our community. Check our Facebook page and Youth Board for more information on events!

- Summer Movie Series — We took a look at the Star Wars Trilogy (Episodes 4-6) and discovered many of the themes that echo our own Christian faith.
- St. Louis, MO — We volunteered at a crisis nursery for children whose caregivers needed assistance.
- Upcoming summer activities:
- Lewistown, MT — We will be traveling to Montana to explore the mountain and complete a service opportunity with their local youth group.
